1.1 Introduction

These TikTok Shop by Tokopedia Seller Registration Guidelines have been drafted with the express purpose of:

• Building a positive shopping environment on TikTok Shop by Tokopedia; and
• Providing a shopping experience that consumers can have confidence in.

All applicants who wish to offer products for sale via the TikTok Shop by Tokopedia must abide by these guidelines.

1.2 Scope

These TikTok Shop by Tokopedia Seller Registration Guidelines apply to all individuals and entities who wish to register as a seller on TikTok Shop by Tokopedia. This policy outlines the relevant requirements that all individuals/businesses must provide to TikTok Shop by Tokopedia for review.
These TikTok Shop by Tokopedia Seller Registration Guidelines are updated periodically. Please check this page regularly to ensure strict compliance with our current guidelines.

Seller Application/Registration

There are two types of sellers - individual sellers and corporate sellers.

• An individual seller refers to a seller that is not a corporation but an individual person offering goods for sale on TikTok Shop by Tokopedia.
• A corporate seller refers to a seller that is a legally incorporated company/ business (registered with Indonesia's Ministry of Investment) offering goods for sale on TikTok Shop by Tokopedia.

All individuals and businesses must register and apply to be a seller before they can list products on TikTok Shop by Tokopedia. As part of the application process, applicants are required to provide certain information and documents when registering to be a seller onTikTok Shop by Tokopedia.

Registration Guidelines

All applicants must be aware of the following general guidelines:

• Applicants must provide us with accurate details of their business's legal name, address, phone number, e-mail address, and any other information we may request (for example, information to identify the beneficial owners of the business).
• Applicants must follow the on-screen instructions when filling out their registration.
• During the application review process, we may also request applicants to submit supplementary documents for a second inspection before providing a result.

It is important to note that application criteria for individual and corporate seller types differ. Please refer to the respective guidelines below for our registration criteria for individual and corporate sellers.

Applicant Eligibility

Individual Applicants (Eligibility)

• TikTok Shop by Tokopedia only allows natural persons with government-issued identification documents listed under section 3.2.1 below to register as individual sellers.
• The applicant must have attained the minimum age of contractual capacity (18 years old) according to the laws of Indonesia.
• Applicants who are currently under investigation or have been the subject of any enforcement action(s) by any competent authority (including but not limited to a trade or consumer protection authority) are prohibited from registering as a seller on TikTok Shop by Tokopedia. This includes but is not limited to multi-level marketing, Ponzi, or pyramid schemes.
• Applicants who are the subject of such enforcement actions or investigations may be suspended until the resolution of the inquiry favors the applicant or until the enforcement sanctions placed on the applicant expires.

Corporate Applicants (Eligibility)

• For corporate applicants, TikTok Shop by Tokopedia only allows entities incorporated in the Indonesia (operation market) to register as corporate sellers.
• TikTok Shop by Tokopedia requires all corporate applicants to submit business licenses, registrations, or similar official documents that support their eligibility to sell products/services under applicable law. The following requirements must be met when corporate applicants submit an application to us:
  • An applicant's business scope and operating validity period must correspond with the information contained in any submitted business license(s) or certificate(s) where applicable.
  • All business licenses and certificates must be authentic and issued by Indonesia's Ministry of Investment.
• One verified business entity can only register up to five (5) seller accounts on TikTok Shop by Tokopedia.
• Applicants who are currently under investigation or have been the subject of any enforcement action(s) by any competent authority (including but not limited to a trade or consumer protection authority) are prohibited from registering as a seller on TikTok Shop by Tokopedia. This includes but is not limited to multi-level marketing, Ponzi, or pyramid schemes.
• Applicants who are the subject of such enforcement actions or investigations may be suspended until the resolution of the inquiry favors the applicant or until the enforcement sanctions placed on the applicant expires.

Seller Verification Requirements

TikTok Shop by Tokopedia requires all applicants to submit verification documents during the application process. The required verification documentation for individual applicants and corporate applicants differs. Please refer to the respective guidelines below.

Individual Applicants (Verification)

For individual applicants, the applicant must submit a copy of government-issued identification documents for verification purposes. Acceptable documents are:

• National Identity Card (Kartu Tanda Penduduk)
• Indonesian Passport

Corporate Applicants (Verification)

For corporate applicants, the applicant must provide the Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB) document
In addition, all companies/corporations may be required to submit a government-issued identity document (i.e. passport/National ID) for the legal representative, company director, or person with significant control.

Identity Document Requirements

All submitted identity documents must meet the requirements below.

General Document Format Requirements

• For Kartu Tanda Penduduk (National Identity Card), it should show the front and back of the card with the individual's information
• For a passport, it should show the full page of the individual's information.

• Any submitted valid government-issued ID must comply with the following:
• Must be a government-issued identity card that is distributed and recognized by the country where you are a citizen.
• Copies of both front and back panels of identity documents are required.
• All copies must be legible.
• Document images must be of high quality, colored and unobstructed. Angled, blurry, black-and-white, or cropped screenshots are also not allowed.
• For multi-page files (for example: both sides of the ID card), please combine the two-sided pictures into a one-page file.
• All documents must be in either png or jpg. The file name should not be a string of text, alphanumeric, or contain any special characters (*, \, ?, ]), etc.

Individual Applicant (Document Requirements)

• The name on any submitted national identification (ID) document (such as a Kartu Tanda Penduduk or passport) must match the applicant's registered TikTok Shop by Tokopedia account.
• Any submitted identity card must be government-issued and recognized by Indonesia.
• All identification information must be valid at the time of submission. Applicants must ensure their identity document(s) remain valid over the course of their business on TikTok Shop by Tokopedia.

Corporate Applicant (Document Requirements)

• The legal representative's name listed on any submitted business license/company registration(s) must match the applicant's registered TikTok Shop by Tokopedia account.
• Any submitted identity card must be government-issued and recognized by the country where the legal representative, company director, or person with significant control (PSC) is a citizen.
• All identification information must be valid at the time of submission. Applicants must ensure their identity document(s) remain valid over the course of their business on TikTok Shop by Tokopedia.
• Where requested, applicants must also provide us with information evidencing the beneficial ownership of the seller.

Shop Name Guidelines

All applicants are required to create a shop name on TikTok Shop by Tokopedia. This applies to both individual and corporate applicants. When creating shop names, all applicants must strictly adhere to the requirements below. Shop names that do not adhere to TikTok Shop by Tokopedia's requirements may be rejected by TikTok Shop by Tokopedia at our sole and absolute discretion.

• All shop names must represent the applicant's business accurately.
• All shop names should not contain more than 40 characters.
• All shop names are restricted from containing illegal information such as banned product names or discriminatory language.
• Shop names must not contain any inappropriate political language or other information that may trigger misunderstanding, bias, dispute, or negatively affect consumers.
• All shop names must not contain any hate speech or content that attacks or incites violence against an individual or a group of individuals.
• We do not allow shop names that contain sexually suggestive or explicit content.
• We do not allow any abusive content in the shop name. This includes but is not limited to violent threats, sexual harassment, or disparaging statements regarding appearance, intellect, personality traits, and hygiene.
• We do not allow any shop name to refer to "TikTok" without TikTok's prior written permission. Similarly, we do not allow terms related to third-party platforms without authorized permission (such as Lazada, Shopee, Amazon, Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
• Shop names must not contain any brand name(s) without the brand owner's written authorisation.
• Authorised brands are only permitted to incorporate the term 'Official' into their shop names, provided they have submitted the required authorisation from the brand owner. The use of 'Flagship,' 'Authorized,' and other similar terms are prohibited. These requirements are also applicable to all TikTok Shop by Tokopedia profiles.
• We do not allow any shop names containing comparisons or exaggerated descriptions such as "better," "the best," "vs.", etc.
• We do not allow applicants to duplicate the shop names of other sellers in TikTok Shop by Tokopedia.
• All shop names must not contain any external contact information or websites as part of the shop name, such as phone number, social media account information, "http," ".com," etc.
• All shop names must be presented in an official language of the relevant marketplace as supported by TikTok Shop by Tokopedia.
• All shop names must not contain a string of text, be solely alphanumeric, or include special characters (*, \, ?, ], etc.). Pure numbers are also not allowed.
• All shop names must not contain purely generic words or categories that do not represent the business clearly, such as "Automotive," "Shop," and "Store," etc.
• We do not allow shop names to contain the names of any prohibited and or unsupported products outlined in our TikTok Shop by Tokopedia Prohibited Products Guidelines and TikTok Shop by Tokopedia Restricted and Unsupported Products Guidelines.

Seller Profile

When filling out a seller profile, all applicants must provide legal, valid, and accurate contact information in a language accepted by TikTok Shop by Tokopedia. This applies to both individual and corporate applicants. Every applicant's profile information must include the following:

• Country, province, district.
• Full geographic address.
• Postal or zip code.
• Any other identifying documents requested by TikTok Shop by Tokopedia.

Bank Account Requirements

All applicants must provide accurate bank account information. All submitted bank account information must also meet the requirements below.

• The applicant must provide a copy of the first full page of their bank account book with accurate bank account information.
• The applicant's bank name and bank account must be accurately represented.
• For corporate applicants, the bank account provided must be a business bank account. The bank account name must also be consistent with the business entity's name on any submitted business licenses, certificates, or company registrations.
• For individual applicants, the submitted bank account name must be consistent with the name on the identity documents provided upon registration.

Other Required Information

In addition to the information above, TikTok Shop by Tokopedia may also request further information according to the specific requirements of the applicant's destination market. We encourage applicants to consult with their legal advisor if they have questions about the laws and regulations regarding the disclosure of information.

Further Information

If TikTok Shop by Tokopedia requires the collection of any additional information due to new rules or regulations, applicants will be notified and must submit the necessary supplementary documents accordingly.
All applicants must promptly disclose any changes to their documentation. TikTok Shop by Tokopedia will conduct a second review following these Seller Registration Guidelines to see if there are any changes to an applicant's account information or related documents.

Audit

TikTok Shop by Tokopedia may review an approved seller account and related documents at any time. If sellers or applicants violate these guidelines, punitive action may be taken against their account as set out in our Shop Seller Terms of Service.
