We expect our sellers to be respectful and responsible when listing your products; this includes avoiding all forms of sensational and shocking content.
Here are some examples of sensational and shocking content:
  • Bloody, gruesome or graphic content such as crime scenes, images of accidents, horror scenes or bloody stills.
  • Uncomfortable user experiences such as visuals of human or animal fluids and waste, or visuals that show dirt coming out of the pores of the face or hair being pulled out of the drains.
  • Crime, violence, anti-social behaviour, cruelty, or animal abuse, such as real fighting with bloody scenes, or animal cruelty, such as cock or dog fighting.
  • Dangerous behaviours such as risky actions without proper safety precautions.
  • Violent or offensive language or insulting actions such as profanity, hate speech, or derogatory remarks.
  • Behaviour that could harm the environment, such as the promotion of single-use plastics.
  • Discriminatory or otherwise offensive content such as discrimination against individuals based on their race, gender, sexual identity, culture or other attributes.
  • Defamatory content, unfair portrayals, or adverse or offensive references such as false or harmful statements about individuals or competitors.

  • Avoid excessively violent or graphic content as it may disturb customers.
Are there any exceptions for horror-themed products?
  • Even for horror-themed items, it is best to use imagery that is not graphic or disturbing.

  • If your product is not eco-friendly, consider providing information on responsible usage and disposal.

What happens if I breach these guidelines?

If you are found to violate these guidelines, you may have enforcement actions taken against your account. You should note that repeated offenses will result in more significant penalties.
