What are Restricted Products?

We care about the safety of its customers. To promote a secure and positive shopping environment, we restrict the sale of certain products on our platform.

Restricted Products refer to certain types of products that require prior approval from our platform to be sold. Sellers who wish to sell restricted products may be required to pass a category approval process before selling such products. This process may require sellers to submit documents including but not limited to certifications, testing reports, product or package images, and other regulatory documentation.

Accordingly, sellers who do not pass the approval process are prohibited from listing, sharing, or promoting such products.

Examples of Restricted Products

Sellers who wish to sell restricted products must obtain necessary product approvals in accordance with the requirements below.

Selected Baby and Maternity Products	Certain maternity and baby products are considered restricted products, which may require submitting supporting documents such as certifications or test reports. Some examples include: Breast pumps Baby bottles Disposable diapers Cloth diapers Baby clothing	Distribution permit from the Ministry of Health, for the following categories: Breast pumps Baby bottles Disposable diapers SNI (Standar Nasional Indonesia) certificate, for the following categories: Baby clothing, including cloth diapers
Beauty and Personal Care Products	Beauty and personal care products such as: Skincare and lotions Cosmetics All other substances or mixtures intended to be placed in contact with the external parts of the human body or with the teeth and the mucous membranes of the oral cavity Note: Some products within this category must not be sold via our platform under any circumstances. Some examples include: Beauty and personal care products that have medical claims or applications. For example, suggesting that a product is intended to be used to diagnose, cure, mitigate, treat, or prevent disease in humans or animals Beauty and personal care products that are prohibited for sale or distribution by government agencies due to e.g. hazardous materials/ingredients Beauty and personal care products that are restricted or recommended for professional use only Beauty and personal care products which claim or are marketed as helping with weight management	Notification Number/Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) Name and complete address of the seller Image(s) of packing labels containing all mandatory information required by relevant laws and regulations Cosmetic product name Functions Usage instructions Ingredients Name and country of origin or production Batch number Size, content, or net weight Expiration date Warning/caution statements Other details where applicable
Food & Beverages	Sellers must ensure that all food sold on our platform has proper packaging and a reasonable remaining shelf life. Perishable products should also have details of the product's expiration dates indicated visibly in the product description.Sellers who wish to list these types of products may be required to submit documents showing that the product(s) are safe for customers and compliant with relevant laws and regulations. Note: There are products within this category that must not be sold via our platform under any circumstances. Please refer to "Unsupported Products" for more information.	Valid certification(s) issued by an authorized certification body including but not limited to a BPOM (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan) license, SPP-IRT (Sertifikat Produksi Pangan Industri Rumah Tangga) and/or PSAT (Produk Segar Asal Tumbuhan) certificate. Note: expired certificates, or nearly expired certificates (within 30 calendar days of the product's expiration date) will not be accepted by our platform. Images of packing labels containing all mandatory information required by relevant laws and regulations Product name Ingredients Net weight or content Name and address of the product's producer or importer Halal certification (where applicable) Production date and batch number Expiry date Sources of the product's listed ingredients (i.e., sourced from certain animals or genetically modified/irradiated ingredients) Shelf-life information (e.g., best before, use by dates, etc.) Storage conditions (e.g., room temperature, frozen, chilled) Other details where applicable
Food Supplements	Sellers who wish to list food supplement products, including vitamins and supplements for baby and maternity purposes, may be required to submit documents showing that the product(s) are safe for customers and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.Note: Food supplements which claim or are marketed as helping with weight management are unsupported and cannot be sold on our platform. Please refer to section 5.17 of our TikTok Shop by Tokopedia Restricted And Unsupported Products Guidelines for more details. Household Medical Devices for Personal Use	Sellers who wish to list medical devices for personal use may be required to submit documents showing that the product(s) are safe for customers and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.	Medical Device Distribution Permits (Izin Edar Alat Kesehatan) issued by the Ministry of Health.
Electrical Components and PC Gaming Accessories	Electrical components and selected PC gaming accessories (headsets & headphones, gaming keyboards, and gaming mice) require prior category approval before they can be sold. Sellers who wish to sell these products must pass the category approval process before listing.	Business License (NIB) For Electrical Components: a valid SNI, NPB, or K3L registration number, as applicable For selected PC Gaming Accessories (gaming headsets and headphones, gaming keyboards, and gaming mice): a valid Postel Certification Number

What Happens if I List Restricted Products Without Approval?

We may audit product listings at any time and take enforcement actions against sellers who violate our guidelines. Some of the enforcement actions we may take are:

Rejecting product listings.
Delisting products from the seller's shop.
Assigning violation points to a seller's shop. Accumulating a certain number of violation points may result in the revocation of a seller's privileges.

We may also take further enforcement actions against a seller based on the severity or frequency of their violations.
