We consider products to be surprise-based if an element of mystery or surprise is an integral part of the product the user is purchasing (i.e. the customer is not certain of the contents of the product until they receive it).
While surprise-based products can be sold on TikTok Shop by Tokopedia, they must follow the guidelines listed below.

What are Surprise-Based Products?

Surprise-Based Products usually contain single/multiple items securely sealed in a box/bundle at a factory.
The possible products that could be included in the box are known to customers; however, the final products that the customer will receive in the box/package/ bundle are unknown until the product is opened. Examples include Mystery Boxes, Golden Eggs, Advent Calendars, and Surprise Trading Card Packs.
Note: Randomised bundles self-assembled by brands/sellers/creators are strictly prohibited.

How should I list Surprise-Based Products?

Below are some guidelines to help make your surprise-based listings a success:

• The product should be manufactured in a factory and cannot be assembled by brands, sellers or creators. They should be purchased and resold in the manufacturer's original packaging and content without any alterations.
• The surprise-based products must not be, or contain any prohibited or unsupported items.
• Include the following information clearly in the product listing description:
  • Images showing the possible products the customer may receive in the surprise-based product listing.
  • The quantity, category, and variation of products the customer may receive.
  • The value of the product(s) that the customer will receive.
• The product as a whole should be less than USD100.

What happens if I breach these guidelines?

If you are found to violate these guidelines, you may have enforcement actions taken against your account. You should note that repeated offenses will result in more significant penalties.
