What is Store Rating and Why Should You Use It?

Store Rating is a ranking score introduced by TikTok Shop to help creators select sellers and products based on sellers' performance. Store Rating ranges from 0 to 5, and is updated weekly.Store Rating is based on sellers' Shop Experience Score (SES), which aims to help sellers identify areas to improve the shop experience for customers. By selecting sellers with high Store Rating, creators improve buyers' overall experience, creating better engagement and trust with viewers.
Tip: Selecting high rating stores and products will also attract more traffic.

How is Store Rating Calculated?

Store rating provides an overall evaluation of sellers' performance, by rating a seller's performance based on three critical seller performance categories:
  1. Customer product review
  2. After-sales service
  3. Shipping performance
The Store rating also considers the median performance of similar stores.

How to View Store Rating when Selecting Products

Store Rating can be viewed in the product marketplace, and will be displayed beside the shop name on the product card.
Sellers with low orders (in the past 90 days) or poor performance will not have Store Rating displayed.

How to Filter Products by Store Rating

Option 1: Filter via 'High Store Rating'

Quickly filter high rating stores using the 'High Store Rating' filter to find products from stores rated 4.0 or higher.image.png

Option 2: Filter via Filtering Levels

Widen your filter scope by selecting different levels of Store rating:
  1. Nice (3.9 points and above): Top 50% performing sellers
  2. High (4.2 points and above): Top 35% performing sellers
  3. Super (4.5 points and above): Top 10% performing sellers

  1. Why do some sellers not have Store Rating?
    1. Similar to the Shop Experience Score (SES), Store Rating is only available to sellers who have 30 orders in the past 90 calendar days and no flagged orders for fraud or risk. Sellers with low Store Rating will also not have their Store Rating displayed.
  2. I am a seller and have been using the Shop Experience Score (SES) to look at my performance. How is the SES different from the Store Rating seen by my affiliate creators?
    1. Shop Experience Score (SES) ranges from 0 to 10, and is visible only to the seller through the Seller Center. Store Rating ranges from 0 to 5, and is visible to all creators through the product marketplace.
  3. What is the difference between Store Rating and Product Rating?
    1. Product Rating is based on customer feedback of individual products they have purchased, and represents only part of the buyer's shopping experience on TikTok Shop. Store Rating evaluates the overall performance of seller, taking into account customer product reviews, as well as after-sales service and shipping performance.
