Who Can Be a ShopTokopedia Seller?

ShopTokopedia strives to provide all users with a safe and positive shopping experience. To ensure the safety of our platform, prospective sellers (applicants) must meet ShopTokopedia's seller eligibility criteria and undergo an account verification process before they can begin selling on our platform.Applicants can sign up as either:

An individual seller, if the seller is a person (individual) offering goods for sale or
A corporate seller, if the seller is an incorporated company/ business offering goods for sale.

Am I Eligible to Sell on ShopTokopedia?

Applicants must first ensure they are eligible to sell on ShopTokopedia.

Individual Sellers	Only citizens of Indonesia are allowed to register under this seller type. The applicant must have attained the minimum age of contractual capacity according to the laws of the destination market.
Corporate Sellers	Only corporate applicants registered in Indonesia can register under this seller type. The business scope and operation validity period must match the information on the applicant's business license or certificate(s).

How Do I Verify My Account?

Before a seller can sell on our platform, their application will be processed and verified. To facilitate the application process, all applicants must submit the relevant documentation.For individual sellers, the applicant must submit a copy of government-issued identification documents (i.e., national ID or passports) for verification purposes. The submitted documentation must match the applicant's registered ShopTokopedia account.For corporate sellers, the applicant must submit a valid company registration certificate (i.e., Nomor Induk Berusaha). In addition, the company's legal representative may be required to submit a government-issued identity document (i.e., national ID or passport) for verification.The table below states the acceptable types of documentation for individual and corporate sellers:

How Do I Provide My Bank Account Details?

Applicants will also be required to provide their bank account details. All applicants must provide accurate bank account information, including the bank name and bank account.

Individual Sellers	The submitted bank account name must be consistent with the name on the identity documents provided upon registration.
Corporate Sellers	The bank account provided must be a business bank account. The bank account must also be consistent with the business entity's name on any submitted business licenses, certificates, or company registrations.

How to Avoid Application Rejections?

Submit Valid Documents

All submitted documents must be valid. The documents provided must be valid during submission and throughout the seller's business on ShopTokopedia.All copies of identification or business registration records must be authentic and recognized by an authorized government agency.For government-issued identification documents, sellers should ensure that:

For national IDs, the submitted document shows the front and back of the card with the individual's information.
For a passport, the submitted document shows the full page with the individual's information.
For business licenses or company registrations, the submitted document shows full and uncropped document pages.

Provide Consistent Information

Applicants must also ensure that the documents submitted are consistent with the information provided when applying to be a seller.

For individual sellers, the full name and ID number on the ID document(s) must match the name on the seller's registered Shop | Tokopedia account.
For corporate sellers, the representative's name must be consistent with the legal name printed on the business license(s) or company registration(s).

Submit High Quality Documents

Please ensure that all submitted documents adhere to the requirements below.

Document copies should be clear and legible.
All scanned documents must be full page.
For multi-page documents (e.g. two sides of an ID card), combine the two-sided pictures into a one-page file.
Scanned images must be of high-quality (i.e. not blurred and not in black-and-white).
Angled, blurry, and cropped screenshots are not allowed.
Uploaded images must be in either PNG or JPG format.
File names should not be a string of text or solely alphanumeric. It should not contain special characters such as *, \, ?, ], etc.

What is the Verification Process?

After submitting the necessary documents, ShopTokopedia will review the seller's application. The seller will subsequently receive an account verification notification informing them if their application has been approved or rejected.Sellers should also note that:

They may be notified to submit relevant supplementary documents if ShopTokopedia requires any additional information or documentation.
If they fail to notify ShopTokopedia of any documentation changes or violations of our Seller Registration Guidelines, their account may be subject to penalties in accordance with our ShopTokopedia Merchant Terms of Service.
